Experience Relaxation with Bath and Body Products

Bath and body products are extremely popular, and there is nothing that takes away the stress of a day like a nice warm aromatherapy soak. Not all products are created equal, however, and you should take a few minutes to find out which scents and products will work best for you.

Sooth and Heal

Bath salts have been popular for some time; while they will make the water somewhat softer and often do have scents included, they also are very health for the skin. Putting in a few tablespoons of pure bath salt is always a good idea.

You will also want to make sure you do not put in too much soap, and the soap you do use should be very mild. To enjoy completely relax, you are going to want to soak in the water for some time, and harsh soaps will actually remove too many oils from your skin. As you may know, this is counter productive to oily skin care.

Heavenly Scents

Scent does affect our mood. Many stores use smells to help us relax, because we will buy more when we are comfortable. The same principles will work well for your home. A very popular scent for removing stress is lavender, as it not only has a soothing smell, but is alleged to have medicinal properties as well. Other scents common in bath and body products that you may try using include vanilla, hazelnut, and sandalwood.

Some bath scents are included in oils, however we recommend using bath beads or bath soaps. These types of soaps are made specifically for prolonged exposure, and will not harm your skin (leading to dry skin). Bath beads are very easy to use, which will prevent you from using too many or too few, and are some of the most popular bath and body products used. However, using oils directly has its benefits as well – you can mix scents, and will have an exact control over how much you use.

Don’t Overdo It

Although it may be tempting to use many different products all at once, please try to avoid doing so. Too many scents which compete with each other may actually be over stimulating, and prevent relaxation. You should always have one primary scent for a single bath (you can easily alternate this from day to day).

Also, try to limit use to three scented products. One of this will most likely be a bath and body lotion, so the remaining two bath and body products could both relate to the bath itself – for example, soothing soap and a bath salt.

You will probably want to keep three to four different scents on hand, as you body will naturally tell you which one it wants to experience. Over time, it can be somewhat expensive to buy so many different products, so once you know what your favorites are, you may want to consider buying wholesale bath and body products.
