Benefiting from Natural Facial Scrubs

Providing the best possible skin care is extremely important, especially today since our environment is so polluted; natural facial scrubs are your key to long lasting beautify skin. Routine use of natural facial scrubs will keep your skin healthy and young for years to come.

Natural Recipes for Healthy Skin

It is always a nice option to make your own facials, since this way you will know exactly what you are putting on your face. If you do not know of any recipes to use, here is one which is extremely beneficial for oily skin.

  • 4 Tablespoons of powdered citrus peel (lemon and orange work great)
  • 4 Tablespoons of dried almonds
  • 1 Teaspoon of Glycerin
  • 4 – 6 Tablespoons of warm water

You simply mix the above ingredients, and massage into the skin in a gentle circle motion (avoid the eyes). Rinse immediately with warm water, and follow with a coat of moisturizer. As you can see, it is very simple to make great natural facial scrubs.

Masks Cleanse Well

Facials are more than just scrubs. A great way to follow the above facial scrub is with a mask. Take Kaolin clay (2-3 Tablespoons), and add a two drops of peppermint oil, green tea (warm to the touch), and add a tablespoon of honey. Mix all of the ingredients (adding warm water if necessary), and spread this mixture over your face. Be sure you have lipstick and bronzing powder completely removed.

This mixture should sit and dry on your face, probably around 15 – 20 minutes. Gently remove with warm water in circular motions, and apply moisturizer. If you will be going out of the house, be sure to put a sunscreen crème or lotion on as well.

Relax for Overall Health

While you are using these natural facial scrubs and masks, be sure to take a moment or two to relax. Put on some soothing music, and perhaps light a candle. Your skin and body will respond better to the cleansing effects if you are not taught and stressed. Additionally, taking time to relax and mediate will help your overall health. It is always a good idea to visit a beauty salon at least once a month for some pampering.
