Lost in a Sea of Beauty Products
A trip to a bath and body shop can be somewhat daunting at times; there seem to be more beauty products than there are people in the world! Truth is, many of these products are just repeats or variations of things you are already familiar and comfortable with. When shopping for beauty products, it can be helpful to categorize them in broad categories, and then purchase just a few items from each category.
For the Bath
Many beauty products revolve around the bathing. This makes sense, as bathing is a daily activity which is not only cleansing, but refreshing as well. When you begin looking at these products, you will immediately notice they generally are cleansers and moisturizers, or a combination of the two.
Cleansers are generally for the skin, but you will find some shampoos and hair products as well. Most cleansers are a type of proactive skin care product, which gently clean the skin while providing a soothing fragrance.
Other cleansers and moisturizers revolve around skin. They are exfoliates, natural skin care products, and antiaging skin care treatment products. These are wonderful beauty products (and also the most numerous), will help keep your skin soft and strong.
For the Air
Yes, there are products designed for the air. Specifically, these beauty products are the aromatherapy scents, as well as candles and incense. While this is going to do nothing for your skin, the intent is to provide a relaxing environment that melts the stress of your day away.
For the Face
The market for facial skin care is extremely competitive. It seems that all companies have found the beauty products which are the next best thing to the fountain of youth, and will hide and remove wrinkles from your eyes and chin. They also spend millions of dollars trying to convince us that they know what they are talking about.
